Power line!

This week tuesday I played a game called "power line" with them.  To give a brief summary of this game, there are two teams, one on each side.  You are trying the roll a ball at someones feet on the opposite team.  If you are successful in hitting them where they are not able to get possession of the ball they need to sit down until their teammates link together touching one of the cones surrounding the play area which is the power line".  The reason I had them play this game; in order to teach them to work together, a lot of the times when we play games together or do activities together they are all out for themselves and wanting to win.  Being on a team in this game forced them to work with one another.  There is no way you would be able to win this game by yourself.  I have been teaching my kids that a group/team is a lot like a body; where there are different people with different parts/roles, working together is the only way it can reach It's full ability.  I was very proud of them as we began playing the game, I decided to play with them in order to bring a sense of enthusiasm to the game.  They were all doing very well, helping one another and trying to share the ball with their teammates. At one point the whole entire group was playing, so AWESOME! God really anointed it, and I felt that a lot of good came out of this!
